Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory is located in
a resort community and many lodging choices are available in the area.
We will be posting more information shortly.
Camping:
There is no camping on site, but there are several Forest Service
campgrounds nearby. Camping is also available at Newberry
National Volcanic Monument and La Pine State Park.
Recreational Activities:
There are many opportunities for recreation in Sunriver including
swimming pools, golf courses, canoeing and fishing on the Deschutes
river, horseback riding at the stables, and 35 miles of bike
paths. Nearby attractions include Lava Lands Visitor Center, High
Desert Museum,
Newberry National Volcanic Monument, the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway,
and Smith Rock State Park.
This year we will have a
BEGINNER FRIENDLY area where new astronomers can learn with some old
hands. Come join us!

years, pre-registration is strongly suggested.
