2002 was the third and final year at the West Village location.
Because Mt. Bachelor runs the ski lift to Pine Martin Lodge during the
summer (starts right here) we had to move to the lower lot at the
Sunrise Lodge.
We had a small but good crowd. This 12.5" binocular telescope was
definitely a crowd pleaser Wednesday night.
Hanging out at over 6000' elevation in the Cascades makes for some
excellent viewing, and indeed it was on Wednesday night...
But even early September in the Cascades can be tricky! The
clouds moved in and we got a good dusting of snow just a few feet up
the mountainside.
