Early arrivers in 2004
showed up on Tuesday and were treated to an extra night of excellent
viewing. The breathtaking view of the volcanoes of the Cascade
Mountain range add to the beauty of the place.
And the skies did not disappoint us. Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday provided us with outstanding viewing. The glow above is
from the Milky Way. Friday night was TeleVue demo night, which
despite some haze in the sky was a great success. Unfortunately
Saturday night was best spent watching movies in the lodge.
These clouds provided a beautiful sunset but cleared out for an evening
of observing.
As always the raffle is a high point of the event. Prizes
included a Celstron NexStar GT80, 15x70 binoculars, star charts, and
much more.
And for the first time we got everybody to pose for a group photo
following the raffle.
